Michelle Blake helps adults and older adults across Tennessee navigate life’s challenges with insight, compassion, and decades of clinical experience. At LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for those struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and significant life transitions. Since beginning her clinical practice in 1991, Dr. Blake has supported individuals seeking greater emotional wellness, healthier relationships, and renewed confidence during difficult seasons of life. A particular focus of Dr. Blake’s work is supporting women experiencing reproductive challenges, postpartum depression and anxiety, perinatal bereavement, and other forms of grief related to family-building journeys. She is deeply committed to helping individuals process loss, identity changes, and emotional struggles that can accompany these experiences. Through a thoughtful and validating therapeutic approach, she creates a space where clients can explore complex emotions and move toward healing at their own pace. Dr. Blake also has extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, and life transitions, including midlife and later-life changes. She understands that periods of transition can affect every aspect of a person’s well-being and works collaboratively with clients to build resilience and practical coping strategies. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she helps clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop new perspectives, and create meaningful behavioral change. She also offers support for additional mental health concerns and emotional challenges. Her practice is welcoming to a diverse range of individuals, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and women seeking specialized mental health support. Dr. Blake is known for combining clinical expertise with genuine warmth, helping clients feel understood while working toward measurable progress. Dr. Blake earned degrees from Florida State University, the University of Louisville, and Christian Brothers University. Her lifelong passion for learning is reflected in both her professional development and her thoughtful approach to therapy. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending quiet evenings with her husband, listening to music, reading with a beloved dog nearby, and pursuing her goal of one day publishing a novel. These personal interests help nurture the empathy, creativity, and curiosity she brings to her clinical practice. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, grief, reproductive challenges, or major life transitions, Dr. Michelle Blake is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care for adults and seniors throughout Tennessee.
