I have always had subpar or overall lacking encounters with mental health providers. So when I moved here to Indy Metro area, I was very nervous about having to start over with a new psychiatrist. I went into my first appointment thinking it would be 10-15 minutes and I would have to continually prove myself and advocate for myself like I have at previous places. This was so different. I had the absolute pleasure to work with Dr. Christopher Cox who sat down with me for over an hour and let me talk. He was such a breath of relief! What an amazing provider! When Dr. Cox accepted a job elsewhere I was devastated and back to feeling anxious that maybe it was just a fluke that I got such a good provider the first time around. Then I met with Catherine Oplinger, PMHNP, and I realized that maybe this is just a REALLY great office. Catherine was equally kind, open, and thoughtful. She took her time and as we talked longer and longer, more things came up that I didn’t realize were even pertinent. What a fantastic establishment. I would recommend Dr. Christopher Cox (wherever he may be working next) and Catherine Oplinger to anyone.

Had my initial appointment with Dr. Cox today. He was on time for our appointment and he was very friendly. He was patient with me and listened to everything I had to say, he made suggestions for my medications and then wanted to know what my thoughts were on that. He really wants to make sure I have a say in my treatment and that I’m comfortable with the medication regimen. He set up our next appointment to see how I’m doing and if changes need to be made. He is, by far, the most concerned and patient doctor I’ve had. Just after our first visit, I’d highly recommend him. Thank you, Dr. Cox!

I found this psychiatrist through the Medicare.gov website because I wanted to make sure I could get the Medicare approved rate. The Medicare website only had virtual appointments and many were not located locally. I was pleasantly surprised that this Psychiatrist knew all the right questions to ask and knew a lot about medications. She is also located in an office local to me so that after the initial assessment I can go to in-office appointments or virtual - my choice. Billing has yet to arrive. I hope to continue in person with this psychiatrist if billing is not convoluted or too expensive.

Everyone has been kind and willing to assist me with any issues that have arisen promptly and professionally. I think very highly of Cathy Oplinger. I appreciate her patience, and I don't feel rushed. We can communicate, and I know she diligently listens to my conversation and shows empathy at all visits. I also LOVE that we can do visits online. Since she is at her new location it is so important because I would now have to drive an hour and a half to my visits. I am 65, and this is so helpful, and getting to continue with Cathy is important.

Signing up for Lifestance services online is a bit confusing. I received texts and emails. Got into a wrong waiting room for my first telehealth appointment. Too many instructions from things automatically sent out. Tech stuff. Once I had a in person visit with Megan Gibson I was very pleased with her and the service. I will attempt telehealth again now that I understand better. I would refer them to others.

Great experience with LifeStance. I see Dr. Madni and she is intelligent, experienced, efficient, and kind. Easy to attend appointments, knowledgeable providers, and friendly staff. Their online portal is easy to navigate when you need to update patient information, refill scripts, communicate with your provider, or schedule an appointment. Would recommend working with them for any telehealth services.
