Jorge Alcina, Psychologist

Jorge Alcina, PsyD

Jorge Alcina, PhD, provides compassionate and evidence-based therapy to adults and seniors across Massachusetts. He offers individual, group, and intensive outpatient therapy to support clients navigating life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Whether helping individuals manage obsessive-compulsive disorder, process grief, or cope with the impact of trauma, he tailors his therapeutic approach to meet each person’s unique needs. His goal is to create a supportive space where clients can develop effective coping strategies and build a greater sense of resilience. Dr. Alcina is particularly passionate about guiding clients through later-life and midlife transitions, as well as addressing pain management concerns. He understands the emotional and psychological complexities that can arise with aging, career shifts, and changes in relationships, helping clients navigate these transitions with confidence. Additionally, he works with individuals experiencing chronic pain, supporting them in developing strategies to improve their quality of life while managing the emotional toll of persistent physical discomfort. He provides therapy for diverse populations, including first responders, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals facing men’s mental health concerns. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches, he helps clients build emotional regulation skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and cultivate a greater sense of well-being. Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Alcina enjoys reading, exploring new places, making music, and spending time with loved ones. He is committed to helping individuals across Massachusetts find meaning and balance in their lives.
