Wendy Francis, MSW, LCSW
Wendy Francis has been providing mental health therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families since 1999. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques with individuals, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Child Directed Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused CBT, and Insight Oriented Therapy as well as others. Wendy works with families using various family therapy techniques and focuses on helping the whole family improve functioning. She has worked in a variety of settings, including providing therapy for children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient clinics, in residential treatment centers, in substance abuse rehabilitation programs, in programs focused on improving parenting skills, in a children’s hospital setting, in crisis worker role for many hospitals, within the foster care system, and within the youth probation system. Wendy assists clients and families by developing a therapeutic relationship so that each unique individual can feel safe working toward improving relationships, developing coping skills, and having improvement in many areas of life.
