Group Overview:

Despite mass amounts of people being diagnosed with ADHD, this population is still being stigmatized, underestimated, and misunderstood. Our Adults with ADHD group therapy will seek to connect neurodivergent individuals with other like-minded individuals so we can build community and support, learn more about the diagnosis, and discover ways to maximize the condition into a strength.

Topics Include:

  • Week 1: What is ADHD?
  • Week 2: Treatment Options
  • Week 3: Time Management
  • Week 4: Organization
  • Week 5: Cognitive Distortions
  • Week 6: Managing Money
  • Week 7: Successful Relationships
  • Week 8: Succeeding at Work and College
  • Week 9 (optional): for Significant Others

Participants: Men and women, ages 18+, who have an official diagnosis of ADHD. Up to 12 individuals may participate.

When:

There are two group session offerings:

1.) Virtual on Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., starting January 15, 2025 and running through April 3 (for nine sessions). No session on 2/12/25, 3/12/25, or 3/26/25.

2.) In-person on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., starting January 16, 2025 and running through April 4 (for nine sessions). No session on 2/13/25, 2/20/25, or 3/27/25.

Cost: Insurance and self-pay are accepted in Ohio. It is suggested to verify your insurance plan benefits for group therapy; please inform your insurance provider that this is a “CBT psychoeducation, and skills-based group.”
