DBT Workshop For Teens in Hilliard, Ohio

This group will focus on teenagers with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, an eating disorder, or who have lived through a traumatic experience.

Group Focus:

Are you a teen with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, an eating disorder, or who has lived through a traumatic experience? Then this dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) group could be a great fit for you!

This group will focus on learning skills to help with regulating intense emotions, tolerating distress, improving relationships, and being more mindful in day-to-day life, while also giving teens opportunities to relate and interact with each other.

Participants: This group is especially catered to teens aged 13-18 who have difficulty with overwhelming emotions, impulsive behavior, self-injury or suicidal ideation, social anxiety, or challenges with relationships. This is also open to any teen who could benefit from additional support.

Cost: Insurance or self-pay in Ohio

When: In-person on Mondays from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.

11 sessions with rolling admission every five weeks, upon availability

Option to have guardian attendance every five weeks, depending on group preferences and need.

*Sessions will pause for holidays. All changes will be communicated by provider. Referrals accepted at any time; two weeks notice is preferred so as to schedule an individual session prior to start of group.

Sarah Beadle, LISW

Sarah Beadle is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. As a practicing clinician, she uses evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, solutions-focused therapy, and mindfulness to guide work with children, teens, and adults.
