DBT Skills Adult Group Therapy in Ohio

Group Focus:

Through group participation and assigned homework between sessions, patients will learn core dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) concepts, including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Patients will learn to bring acceptance with change, gain new skills to replace behaviors that do not work, and understand how to validate their emotions and experiences.

Participants: Current LifeStance Health patients who are 18+ with a diagnosis of anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, OCD, or any other disorder which struggles with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, or interpersonal effectiveness and/or would benefit from learning new coping skills. Between eight to ten participants will be in this group.

Cost: Insurance and self-pay are accepted

Jessica McDermott is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, who has been practicing since 2017.

Getting Started

When:

Ages 18-29: Saturdays at 11 a.m. for 12 weeks

Ages 30+: Saturdays at 10 a.m. for 12 weeks
