Group Overview:
This group will empower children with ADHD to understand that they have a unique brain, and it’s just as good as “typical” or neurotypical brains, only managed differently. There will be an emphasis on using strengths as “superpowers”. Mindfulness will be a big focus to help improve focus, attention, and emotional regulation. Weekly topics include:
Week 1 – What is ADHD?
Week 2 – Using Mindfulness
Week 3 – Increasing Memory
Week 4 – Listening and Social Skills
Week 5 – Body Awareness and Big Emotions
Week 6 – Organization at School
Week 7 – Organization at Home
Week 8 – Time Management and Routines
Participants: Any child attending grades 3 through 5 and has an ADHD diagnosis.
When: In-person on Tuesdays from 4 to 5 p.m., starting January 21, 2025
Cost: Insurance and self-pay are accepted in Ohio
