Amber Jackson, LPC, believes that with the right guidance and realization of one’s own potential, that anyone can develop and utilize coping skills to overcome obstacles placed before them. By taking a collaborative approach to the therapeutic alliance, Amber works with her clients on their journey to efficient living. By providing an open and judgement free space, the client is able to explore their true human potential and reach self-actualization with Amber providing empathy along the way. Amber services children and adolescents, families, and adults holistically, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Person-Centered, and Strength-Based Therapy, as she believes that understanding all parts of an individual is crucial to understanding their daily functioning, while also highlighting their internal strengths and abilities to promote positive change. Amber has experience working with individuals who present with issues related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, transitions and adjustments, and family relational problems. Amber believes that the overall goal is to help children and adolescents become healthy functioning individuals, adults to live more fulfilling lives, and to help families to live harmonious lives together. In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with friends and family and has an increased interest in traveling. Amber has a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Iowa State University.
