Brenda Lovick, LMFT
Brenda Lovick is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Wisconsin who has been practicing since 2014. She has a Certificate of Studies in Lutheran Studies from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Family Studies, and Music from St. Olaf College. Brenda is interested in the intersection of spirituality and sexuality. She understands religious trauma. She looks at the world from a systemic point of view, and what that means is that our symptoms are far more complex than what shows at the surface. Our culture, society, and relational experiences have great influence on our emotional processing. Brenda appreciates adult clients who want growth and change. They are open to a broad spectrum of human experiences and value honesty and safety as they go deep into their emotional processes. With youth, she appreciates clients who are ready to claim their identities and explore a world that’s full of possibilities. Brenda believes that in her office, there are no topics that are off limits. There is not “TMI” (too much information). She wants her practice to be a safe space for you and her to learn about your human experience together. You are the expert of your life; as a therapist Brenda simply has alternate points of view to offer. She would be glad to meet you and learn about you! In her spare time, Brenda enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, cooking with the produce that she’s grown, listening to and playing music, and creating crafty things. She is a leader in her community for PFLAG, she volunteers to help people Get Out the Vote, and sits on a couple of community-based committees.
