She received her undergraduate degree at Assumption University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Psychology. She later pursued a graduate education, by receiving her Master of Social Work from Bridgewater State University. Casey utilizes a client-centered approach to therapy by using multiple treatment methods to help clients meet their needs and goals. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their families by empowering them to challenge their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She often uses various fidgets, toys, and creative art techniques when interacting with children and adolescents to help facilitate communication and build connections. Casey strives to create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for clients of all backgrounds. Casey has experience working with youth across multiple settings including government and non-profit organizations, as well as schools. Casey is an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, as she has helped create and facilitate an inclusive after school club while working in a middle school setting. Casey uses a trauma-informed and evidence-based perspective as she has gained knowledge through her own research in the field. Casey became a published author in 2021, for her undergraduate research article, “Mediators between Adversity and Well‐Being of College Students.” This research has helped Casey understand the multiple effects of childhood trauma when working with individuals and their families. In her free time, Casey enjoys drawing/coloring, painting, board games/video games with family and friends, and playing with her niece and nephews.
