Christine Forte is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island who has been practicing since 2000. She has a Masters in Social Work from Fordham University. Christine offers a safe and non-judgmental space to support you while helping you to identify how you can get through life’s challenges. After graduating from social work school 22 years ago, Christine has had the privilege to have partnered with people from all walks of life and the struggles they faced. Much of her work has focused on issues of depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, strengthening coping skills, and building new skills. Christine’s clinical experience includes medical social work, forensic social work, foster care/adoption, substance use, and grief work. She tries to combine humor with compassion and empathy for all people. When we figure out what we can and cannot control in our world, we can find and experience a sense of peace and calmness. Christine pulls from a variety of treatment modalities: CBT, DBT, CPT for PTSD amongst others. In her spare time, Christine is an avid needleworker and crafter.
