About Danielle Reeves Luther, LCSW

When you meet with Danielle, you’ll meet with a grounded, warm, accepting, compassionate, and authentic therapist. You’ll experience empathy and non-judgment. You’ll be considered the expert about your life. You’ll receive assistance to step into your own power while awakening to the possibility of leading an intentional life.

Danielle works with clients of various ages experiencing many different challenges, including substance use, questioning gender identity, intellectual delays and diagnoses, postpartum and perinatal mood disorders, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and phobias. New parents and experienced parents can receive needed support so that they can stop feeling isolated. Empathic clients can learn how to protect their energy and connect with their intuition and self-love. Clients struggling with anxiety and depression can learn to break negative thought patterns and cognitive distortions to reduce symptoms.

Danielle believes trust is key to therapy success. Trust building tools she utilizes include active listening, observation, honesty, and transparency. She incorporates combinations of Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Trauma focused CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, ACT and experiential modalities, such as art therapy and integrative modalities and methods, into her work with clients. She also considers humor an important coping skill. A saying that guides her is: “Sometimes laughter and chocolate are the best medicine.”

Since receiving her Master’s degree in 2016, Danielle has worked as an adult outpatient therapist and as a mental health consultant in community mental health settings. She has extensive background and experience working in the early childhood and early intervention field. She’s trained in perinatal mood disorders, including postpartum depression, OCD, anxiety, and psychosis.
