Julie Barrett is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Tennessee who has been practicing since 2022. She I completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and obtained her Master of Social Work from the Ohio State University. Although she has only recently received her Master of Social Work, Julie has been working with adolescents and young adults for almost 20 years. Understanding their stories and struggles are imperative to creating a successful approach to address concerns and goals. There is no one size fits all to therapy. Julie enjoys being able to identify an individual path that works best for each client. She has been successful in helping adolescents and young adults address issues such as conduct disorders, bullying, school issues, increasing self-esteem, understanding healthy relationships, developing appropriate boundaries with people in their life and much more. She also enjoys working with younger children and helping them understand emotions and how to adequately express feelings in a healthy manner. Julie thinks it is important for children and adolescents of all ages to understand that they have a voice, they can have an impact on their current situations, and that they matter as people. Julie is a very family-oriented person and loves spending time with her children and her husband. The beach is her “happy place.” If she is not at the beach in the summertime, she enjoys spending time on the lake with her friends.
