About Kenya Windley (She/Her)

Dr. Kenya Windley is a Psychiatrist in North Carolina who has been practicing since 2020. She has an MD from The Brody School of Medicine at ECU and a BSBA and Master of Accounting from Kenan Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Windley is interested in the whole person and recognizes that there are so many components that can affect a person’s quality of life and mental health. She takes time to listen to each of her patients to gain a better understanding of what is happening in their lives to make better decisions regarding the care she provides. It is Dr. Windley’s goal to meet people where they are and work together to get them where they need to be. Outside of work, Dr. Windley’s absolute favorite thing to do is eat, with reading fiction a close second! She enjoys trying new cuisines, but Asian food is her favorite. Outside of eating and reading, she enjoys volunteering in her community and advocating for the concerns of those who have mental health challenges.

Miss Windley is amazing. She truly is. She’s patient, she actually listens to concerns and addresses them individually. She’s willing to consider what you wanna do vs just telling you what to do. She tells you about potential side effects and interactions. She answers every question and doesn’t make you feel like… some psychiatrists can… like they’re above you or bothered with you. I’d recommend her to anyone. And have recommended her to a few people. But lifestance?! The wait times for testing are insane and I'm not sure why you all won't hire anyone else to do mental evaluations so that people can get the correct medications.

Fantastic, compassionate listener with wonderful people skills and ability to make the patient feel heard. Willing to involve patient and/or their guardian in decision-making. Knowledgeable and willing to take ownership of patient’s situation without being condescending. Such a breath of fresh air!

Dr Kenya Windley was very thoughtful, thorough and kind! She spent extra time with me and addressed all of my concerns. Prescriptions were sent in quickly. Additionally, the office staff was very responsive to need for prior auth.
