Kim enjoys the opportunity to partner with pediatric/adolescent patients and their families to address common issues including anxiety, depression, attention and other learning disorders, as well as challenges related to behavioral/emotional regulation. She is committed to using evidence-based diagnostic and treatment approaches, and often collaborates with interdisciplinary colleagues (therapists, schools, dietitians, etc.) to optimize management. Kim has additional experience in the areas of eating disorders, neuropsychiatric disorders, and the use of therapeutic strategies to improve coping skills at all ages across the pediatric spectrum.

Kim is also a consulting associate faculty member in the pediatric nurse practitioner program at Duke University School of Nursing, where she develops and teaches pediatric behavioral health curricula. She speaks nationally about topical areas of developmental-behavioral and mental health. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Yale University, and also holds a Master of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Health from Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. She is an active member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, where she previously served on the board.
