My name is Megan Smith and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR). If you’re quirky, slightly awkward, or artsy, I might be the therapist for you. I enjoy working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have recently become partially trained in EMDR therapy ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and I am just a few short consultation hours away from being able to just say “EMDR trained.” Much of my experience has been with higher levels of care that include inpatient hospitalization, PHP, and IOP. After a couple of years providing individual counseling, I can honestly say I am finding my way in this therapy world with EMDR and intend to become EMDRIA certified one day.

I believe art and creativity can be an important and impactful part of the healing process. Through a client-centered approach and a trauma lens, I intend to provide an authentic and eclectic therapeutic experience, while borrowing interventions from Polyvagal, parts work, DBT, CBT, and other modalities.
