I believe each person’s change process takes healing and discovery for the whole person including mind, body, behavior, emotions, environment, and spirit. I take a holistic approach while creating a safe and nurturing space where my clients feel respected and heard. My hope through client-centered and strength-based approaches is that each individual can identify their unique abilities to increase self-efficacy, and autonomy while prioritizing social connectivity. I also emphasize cultural considerations as a part of treatment, as well as address any historical and/or generational trauma that may be causing distress. With a focus on trauma-informed interventions, attachment theory, and internal family systems clients will identify maladaptive beliefs and behaviors and come to understand how their past experiences and upbringing can influence current thoughts and behaviors with the intention to gain insight on how they can inspire internal and external change. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing components to achieve therapeutic goals which I believe can be as complex and unique as the person.
