My name is Niki Traub, I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing services to adolescents and adults. My background includes working with patients who struggle with a variety of challenges life may present to us, including working with patients struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, LGBTQIA+ related issues, OCD, PTSD, and sleep disorders. I provide compassionate and judgement-free care and prefer a collaborative and holistic approach. I believe that one of the most important things that I can do as a provider is to partner with my patients and provide education about various treatment options to allow that person can make an informed decision about what the best care for them will be. I provide a thorough psychiatric evaluation that considers current symptoms, prior experiences, medical history, lifestyle and health habits to identify mental health concerns and work with you to find a treatment plan that best meets your goals.

I view medication as one of many tools that we have to build resiliency. With this in mind, I work with clients to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that incorporates all aspects of wellness into their care. My purpose is to help clients achieve their mental health goals and mental wellness by working together to find the best treatment plan that incorporates medication/psychotherapy and lifestyle changes.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Nevada Reno then went on to get a Masters in Nursing specializing in Adult and Women’s Health at Simmons University. Following that, I completed post-graduate training at Johns Hopkins University to become a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I then completed a one-year nationally accredited Psychiatric Fellowship at Thundermist Health Center in Rhode Island seeing a diverse community health population. I have an interest in adolescent, young adult and LGBTQIA+ populations and look forward to partnering with you on your health care journey!
