Jilda is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania. She received her BS in Education from Penn State, her MS in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and her PHD in Educational Psychology from Temple University. She has 13 years of experience as a Nurse Educator and 30 years of experience as both a psychiatric and obstetrical nurse prior to beginning her career as a psychotherapist. She has been practicing as a therapist since 1978.

Using an eclectic approach to counseling, Jilda incorporates developmental, cognitive and mindfulness approaches into her practice in order to work with patients to help them develop their

optimal mental health wellness. She incorporates educational materials on mental health, including audio-visual ones, to assist in this process. Jilda believes that patient involvement as a partner in their

own mental health, through learning and developing new coping skills, is crucial to their progress.

Jilda works with patients from late adolescence through all adult ages. Using a holistic approach, she provides counseling to those with both mood disorders and other issues. Jilda has developed an extensive knowledge and skill base working with patients with both acute and chronic trauma histories, with and without PTSD.

Evidence-based techniques she uses in her work include modified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Mindfulness Based Cognitive.

Therapy and Hypnotherapy.
