About Rebecca Korenstein, LMHC

If you’re reading this, we want to congratulate you on taking the first step towards improving your mental health. Knowing you are in a place where you need to ask for help can be a scary feeling, and we commend you for starting this journey towards bettering yourself. In life, it is expected that people will encounter situations that can ultimately affect them forever. With the correct tools, it is possible for you to overcome anything that comes in your path. Together, Rebecca Korenstein will help you find coping skills and learn to alter your thoughts in order to make your goals realistic and achievable, whatever those goals may be. Throughout her career, she has had the pleasure of working with people from a variety of backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and range of mental health issues. In order to assist her clients, her approach involves individualizing methods of therapy depending on what would best fit you. Rebecca graduated from Hofstra University in 2015 with a Master’s degree in Mental Health counseling. Since then, Rebecca has worked with adolescents through adults struggling with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and Schizophrenia. She does not believe a person is defined by their diagnosis, nor that a person needs a diagnosis to seek therapy. As humans, we all struggle sometimes, and with the correct tools, mindset, and coping strategies, Rebecca believes you can become the best version of yourself.
