Marissa Sloane, a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, helps individuals across Pennsylvania navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance. She provides individualized therapy for teens, adults, and seniors, creating a supportive and affirming space where clients can explore concerns, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful personal growth. Through a collaborative and compassionate approach, Marissa supports clients in developing insight and resilience to improve their overall mental health and well-being. Marissa is especially passionate about working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. She recognizes how these conditions can affect daily functioning, relationships, and self-esteem, and she partners with clients to foster healing and empowerment. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness, she helps clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical tools for lasting change. She also has experience supporting individuals navigating ADHD, grief, and life transitions, among other concerns. In addition, Marissa has specialized training as a sexual assault counselor, which informs her trauma-informed and sensitive approach when working with survivors. She is committed to creating a safe, respectful environment where clients can process difficult experiences at their own pace and reclaim a sense of control and self-worth. Marissa is also experienced in providing gender-affirmative care, including gender-affirmative medical readiness evaluations, and she works with diverse populations including LGBTQ+ individuals, military and veteran communities, and those connected to adoption or foster care. Outside of her clinical work, Marissa enjoys staying active at the gym, hiking, kayaking, cooking, reading, spending time with her dogs, and exploring new restaurants with her wife. These interests help her maintain balance and bring authenticity and warmth to her therapeutic relationships.
