Cognitive Behavioral Therapy For Insomnia (CBTI) Group in Naperville, Illinois
The group will be facilitated by Dr. Sparrow, a medical post-doctoral psychologist that specializes in CBTI, insomnia, and similar sleep-related conditions.
Group Focus:
Group sessions include psychoeducation on sleep and sleep-related disorders, skills, and daily activities that will aid in reconditioning the mind and body to a restful night sleep.
What is CBTI?
Currently, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTI) is the recommended first-line treatment for insomnia in adults. The treatment uses one or more behavioral or cognitive strategies along with patient education on sleep. In CBTI, patients are taught to use the following five key strategies: stimulus control, sleep restriction, sleep-interfering arousal/activation, foods and substances, and biological clock considerations.
Participants: Adults with acute, transient, or chronic insomnia
Cost: Insurance and self-pay are accepted in Illinois
When: In-person on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., starting June 18, 2025

Facilitator:
Dr. Aoibheann (Aye-vin) Sparrow is a post-doctoral psychologist. Graduating from Adler University with an academic emphasis on medical psychology, their main focus is behavioral changes and health conditions.
