Amelia Micheli, PsyD

Dr. Micheli is a licensed psychologist providing therapy for adults and young adults. She views therapy as a collaborative process and takes each client’s individual needs into account, incorporating both cognitive-behavioral and insight-oriented approaches to therapy. Some areas of clinical interest include depression, anxiety, parenting support, and prenatal/postpartum mental health. She also enjoys working with college students and first-time therapy clients.

Dr. Micheli believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to helping client’s reach their goals. She strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment in which clients feel comfortable exploring their beliefs, behaviors, and insights. She also enjoys exploring the impact of clients’ important relationships on their mental health and well-being.

Dr. Micheli received her doctoral degree from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston College. Prior to working at CPA, Dr. Micheli completed internships at the Brenner Center for Psychological Assessment and at MIT Mental Health and Counseling. She completed her postdoctoral training at Tufts University’s Counseling and Mental Health Service. Dr. Micheli offers psychotherapy and counseling services in our Newton-Wellesley office and via Telehealth.
