Britain Dunaway is a licensed clinical professional counselor who graduated with a Master’s in Counseling from Lincoln Christian University. Much of Brit’s professional experience comes from his work with families and schools in the crisis department at Children’s Home. Since 2008, Brit has been teaming up with families, young adults, teens and children over age 5 to help them effectively navigate very difficult issues like suicide, depression, aggressive behaviors, cutting, inappropriate social media communication, and difficulties at school. As a volunteer at Divorce Care 4 Kids, he also gained extensive experience working with children whose parents are separated or divorced, and continues to offer support in his current practice for children struggling with this major life adjustment. Cultivating genuine relationships is important to Brit, and he welcomes all individuals and families who are coping with parenting issues, anxiety, depression, suicide, aggressive behaviors, and relationship difficulties. As a father of three children, he understands and empathizes with the daily struggles families encounter. Brit also leads parenting and professional workshops and is available to teach a variety of topics at your school, agency, or church.
