Carrie Sciametta, LMFT
Carrie Sciametta is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been practicing since 2016. She graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California, with a master’s in Clinical Psychology.
Carrie believes healing is a process, that takes time, and can be messy. As a therapist she views her as an honor, getting to walk alongside clients as they face their past, in the present to heal for the future. She strives to provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for clients. Understanding therapy is not one size fits all, Carrie takes an eclectic approach borrowing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to assist clients in building healthy coping skills. Her psychodynamic training provides understanding of the whole person. Carrie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and utilizes the modality to assist her clients in healing from past and current distress. Her experience and trainings have been specialized in working with anxiety and depression, mood instability, grief, and trauma.
In her spare time Carrie enjoys spending time with family, cooking, hiking, and traveling. Carrie enjoys continuing to grow professionally engaging in consultation groups, and professional trainings, currently working towards EMDR certification.
