Psychiatry in Newark, Delaware Charis Foraker, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Charis Foraker is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She completed her undergraduate degree with Wilmington University and immediately began working at a psychiatric hospital where her passion for mental health inspired her to pursue further education in the field. Charis continued as a full-time student at the University of Delaware while working as a psychiatric nurse in a variety of mental health settings.

Charis has experience in providing mental healthcare services to individuals of all age groups in both acute and out-patient mental health settings. She takes into consideration all aspects of human health and utilizes the most current and evidenced based approaches towards improving mental health. Her goal in clinical practice is to integrate the social, psychological, biological, and medicinal sciences into a collective analysis to assist in the treatment of mental illnesses in all age groups. Charis does currently prescribe Buprenorphine and loves working with clients suffering from substance use disorders.

Charis continues to support the mental health needs of all age groups by applying her expertise to effectively assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor those who suffer from the symptoms of a complexity of mental health conditions. She is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to helping others reach their goals.
