My approach is to build on a person’s strengths and positive aspects of mental health. I believe in collaborating with my clients to determine their goals, both in terms of symptom relief and through self- understanding. I aim to achieve results quickly by giving them the tools they need to deal with life’s challenges. In addition to individuals, my practice also provides counseling to couples and families through psychotherapy and medication management, as well as a combination of the two. I believe in a conservative and personalized approach to the use of medication. My areas of specialization include, but are not limited, anxiety, social anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and ADHD in children, adolescents, and adults.

I have been in private practice for over 30 years on the East Coast, and served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at New York University. I was the consultant to the NYU Law School, and have supervised medical students, residents, and child psychiatry fellows. My residency training took place at New York Medical College, and was followed by a fellowship at Columbia University. I relocated to Los Angeles to be closer to family , and have continued to practice the profession I find so rewarding on the West Coast.
