Dr. Danielle Palmer has been working with individuals in outpatient therapy in NH for the past ten years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey prior to receiving her Master’s and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. As part of her training, Dr. Palmer completed her APA accredited internship at Boys Town, in Boys Town, Nebraska where she provided individual and family therapy to youth who were placed in residential treatment settings. Dr. Palmer received her postdoctoral fellowship training at Casa Pacifica, in Camarillo, California, where she provided psychological services to children and adolescents (and their families) who were placed in a non-public school setting as a result of significant emotional and/or behavioral challenges. Dr. Palmer utilizes an integrative approach of cognitive behavioral therapy with behavioral, humanistic, interpersonal, and family systems approach to interventions, based on the needs of the individual. Dr. Palmer has a strong interest and background in working with children, adolescents, and their families, and although a generalist in her practice, she has specific interests in working with individuals with trauma histories and mood disorders. Dr. Palmer’s psychological testing background includes assessing adjudicated youth for psychological services and readiness to integrate back into the community, as well as assessing cognitive functioning, academic achievement, learning challenges, and obtaining diagnostic clarification toward to goal of developing tailored treatment recommendations to enhance psychological and psychiatric care. Although she has a strong background in testing, this has not been a focus over the past several years.
