My diverse training background provides a perspective and treatment that goes beyond the individual psyche. Not only is each individual created with unique talents, abilities, and purpose, but each individual also needs to be connected to something bigger. My mission is to assist the individual, child or adult to thrive, which can sometimes require therapy, medications, or both. Dr. Barnett is the BEST psychiatrist I have ever found. She truly spends time with you to get to know you and your problems before addressing them with medications. Most psychiatrists I have had spend 15 minutes or less with me discussing symptoms and adjusting meds. Not Dr. Barnett. She spends and hour truly asking how I am, what my goals are, and holistically addresses me symptoms, and prescribes medication if needed. She has been so supportive of my mental health journey from filling out paperwork for workplace ADA accommodations - she always goes the extra mile! Cannot recommend her enough to people who struggle with their mental health. I am blessed to have her on my team.
