Gustavo is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Psychologist. He received a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Having started his career in Argentina, Gustavo is fluent in Spanish and English, offering treatment in either language.

Working in Community Mental Health and private practice for over 10 years, he is a generalist who has experience treating a wide variety of concerns from serious mental illness to more common concerns such as anxiety, depression and achieving intimacy. Having also worked in the positions of Clinical Supervisor and Director of Behavioral Health has kept Gustavo on the cutting edge of understanding contemporary problems and interventions.

Gustavo believes therapy to be a safe, confidential relationship leading to an outcome of either resolving specific problems or finding the roots of a repetitive pattern of behavior and modifying it. His clients have often described their experience with him as leading to a sense of relief, energy and focus. He is trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and uses modern cognitive methods to promote an increased sense of responsibility in decisions and behaviors, and to achieve positive change.
