Joi completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with an emphasis in both Marriage and Family and Criminal Justice from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul and received her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University. Joi enjoys working with teens, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. She has experience working with teens and families in community, home, and outpatient services. Through outpatient care, she utilizes a strength-based approach and specializes in healing and working with those who have survived past abuse and trauma. Joi desires to assist clients towards restoring hope from presenting problems that have resulted in disparity and hopelessness in life and around relationships. Joi is trained and certified under Adaptive Internal Relational Network model with Applied EMDR Therapy Protocol (AIR Network) focused on complex trauma. She is also an EMDRIA trained EMDR therapist.
