Karla Hopkins, PMHNP-APRN

Prior to becoming a board certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner, Karla C. Hopkins worked as a certified psychiatric nurse in inpatient and outpatient settings.  She received her nurse practitioner certification from Maryville University and master’s degrees in nursing and healthcare administration from the University of Phoenix. Karla received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Tuskegee University and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.  She presently holds a leadership position with the Kentucky Board of Nursing River City Chapter and volunteers for the Louisville Public Health Department.  Karla provides medication management across the lifespan (ages 6-65+). She specializes in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiance disorder (ODD), depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders.
