Katy Caraveo, LMHC

Katy Caraveo is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York who has been practicing since 2021. She studied clinical art therapy and received her Bachelors in Science at LIU Post. Katy continued her educational career at Adler University – Chicago where she received training in the utilization of both mental health and art therapy techniques to support clients with their therapeutic goals.

Katy has worked with a large variety of clients ranging from pre-teens to adults struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship issues, trauma, and other life challenges. Her preferred counseling style is to meet clients where they are and support them in building skills needed to better navigate life. Katy’s approach adjusts to clients’ needs and goals and builds on an individual’s strengths to collaboratively work toward finding healthy solutions when faced with life’s stressors.

Therapy provides the space for individuals to safely express themselves, their needs, and their goals within a non-judgmental and supportive space. Katy’s role is to support and empower clients each step of the way through their unique healing journey through discussion and creative artmaking. In her free time, Katy enjoys nature walks, making art, reading and podcasts, music, and exploring new places and trying new foods.
