Kevin Maraizu, LPC, uses humor to help his clients feel connected and safe. Everyone can benefit from having someone listen to them with patience, empathy, and understanding. When we bear witness to another’s experience, we help them feel seen and cared for as individuals. This type of connection allows us to work through tough times more easily.

We have to start where we’re at and work from one place to get to the other. Kevin helps his clients understand it’s okay to not be okay. He provides the space to show up and work towards the goals they have for themselves and their lives.

Kevin earned a graduate degree from Adler University and has extensive experience treating adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, anger management, and stress.

In therapy, Kevin uses CBT, DBT, Existentialism, Motivational Interviewing, and Client-Centered approaches to set and achieve goals. He treats each client as an individual and doesn’t use a cookie-cutter approach to treatment. In every situation, Kevin puts the client first and creates a calm yet motivating atmosphere to pave the way for healing and change.
