Krista Sbordone, LCSW
Krista Sbordone is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts who has been practicing since 2023. She was a triple major in undergrad at Merrimack College, where she earned dual Bachelor degrees, one in English and Education, one in Women’s and Gender Studies, and she has a Master in Social Work from Boston College, where she had a Mental Health field of practice and earned a Trauma certification.
Krista is passionate about viewing her clients from a whole person perspective, knowing that each individual has unique intersecting aspects of their identity that contribute to their experience, reality, and personhood. Much of Krista’s education has been trauma-centered and trauma-informed, which she believes is applicable to each and every individual. She also tends to take a holistic approach and believes it is very important to incorporate both the mind and body in healing, most especially in regulating our nervous systems and learning how to understand the ways in which our bodies communicate with us regularly.
Krista has a background in both the education and child welfare systems and has a long history of working with people from all backgrounds, ages, races, ethnicities, belief systems, and identities. Krista is passionate about working with women, children, the family system, people of color, and LGBTQIA+. Krista brings her unique experiences and perspective to meet clients where they are, helping them with whatever challenges brought them here.
She is adaptive and flexible with finding interventions that best meet the client’s wants and needs so they feel they are getting the most out of their sessions together, empowering and advocating for each client while teaching them to do it themselves. Krista is patient-centered and passionate about continuing to learn so that she can do her job to the best of her ability. Outside of work, Krista enjoys art, gardening, going to the gym, reading, being outside, and continuing to learn about mental health and social justice advocacy.
