She’s also a Registered Play Therapist with experience working in school, special education, and foster care systems. She uses techniques like active listening, empowerment, homework, practice activities, and mindfulness. Modalities she draws from include CBT, Person-Centered, Play Therapy, Bruce Perry’s NMT Model, and DBT.
With a Master’s degree in Counseling from Wichita State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Emporia State University, Samantha has worked as a school counselor as well as a therapist in several types of settings, including residential mental health.
