I am a board-certified general adult psychiatrist in Virginia with over 20 years of clinical experience. I was enrolled in the joint B.S./M.D. program with Old Dominion University and Eastern Virginia Medical School. I completed my psychiatric residency at The George Washington Medical Center and affiliated hospitals. I employ a holistic approach and encourage a collaborative doctor-patient relationship. Emphasizing comprehensive treatment, I treat patients utilizing medication, psychotherapy, and sustainable lifestyle habits such as physical health, mindfulness, and self-care. Since patients entering treatment may feel vulnerable and demoralized, I consider maintaining respect and dignity to be paramount. In addition, I facilitate communication with other providers such as primary care, other medical specialists, and therapists. When not in the office I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the gym, drawing/painting, and traveling.
