Dr. Zhang strives to have a holistic bio-psycho-social approach to her patients. Her residency and fellowship trainings were balanced in medical diagnosis and treatments, as well as psychotherapy. She believes that it takes a village to raise a child and there are many critical factors that contribute to a youth’s well-being. She conducts comprehensive evaluation for every patient, so that she could better understand different aspects of the patient’s life, such as past medical and psychiatric history, family dynamics, school support, and peer relationships. Once she has a firm grasp of the clinical picture and diagnosis, she can then help family decide on the best evidence-based treatment option(s), whether it is pharmacological or non-pharmacological.
