Rachel Kolodziej is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) & Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Indiana and Kentucky who has been practicing since 2015. Rachel graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. She continued to pursue higher education at University of Louisville and obtained a Master’s of Science in Social Work with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2015.  While treatment methods and interventions are important, it is within the therapeutic alliance that Rachel believes change occurs. Creating a warm, safe, and understanding relationship is the essence of a therapist’s job. Over her career, Rachel has developed a deep appreciation of human resiliency, and she firmly believes we all heal through relationships. Any type of relationship or dynamic with someone else that holds meaning for you will be encouraged and invited into the therapy room. She will offer empathy for where you are in your journey and maintain positive regard for your strengths and attributes. She will practice with genuineness while also therapeutically challenging you to move towards your goals and desires in life. Above all else, she will work to develop a strong bond with you, one where trust and openness are valued.
