Every human being is unique, with their own identity, history, heritage, and set of individual life circumstances. Each person is deserving of being heard with acceptance, kindness, and respect. One’s mental health relates directly to these life factors as well as to one’s physical and spiritual well-being. As a psychiatrist, I consider myself to be just one part in a person’s journey back to health, and I look forward to working with you.

Dr. Merritt is truly an exceptional physician. From the moment you walk into her care, you feel heard, respected, and genuinely supported. She takes the time to listen carefully to every concern without rushing, which makes a huge difference in feeling understood and comfortable. What sets Dr. Merritt apart is her compassion and dedication to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. She consistently goes above and beyond to provide the best care possible, always thoughtful in her approach and attentive to individual needs. I especially appreciate how creative she is in offering alternative therapies and treatment options. She doesn’t take a one-size-fits-all approach, she works with you to find what truly helps. Just as important, she validates your feelings and experiences, which builds trust and confidence in her care. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Merritt as my doctor and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly patient-centered physician.

I look forward to my appointments. My physician listens to me, treats me with respect and I appreciate her feedback. Even if it is something I don't necessarily want to hear. I live my life now. I no longer hide in my house and for that I am so grateful. I have never had an issue logging into my video calls. I love the ease of the patient portal and the few times that I have called in the staff has been very kind and respectful.

This was probably one of the best therapist appointments I have ever had. I had stopped going for a very long time because I did not feel like they were helping at all. Dr. Merritt has a very approachable personality and was very easy to talk to. I look forward to continuing my sessions with her as I feel that she will be able to help.

Dr. Merritt is the best therapist I've ever had. She has helped me work through my issues and done far more than anyone before her. I've been in counseling for 30 years and taken meds the same amount of time. She genuinely cares about her patients and has impacted my life and taught me more than I ever learned in that 30 years.

Dr. Merritt is amazing. She does an outstanding job of listening to her clients and addressing all of their concerns. She approaches each individual as a whole person, not just through the lens of mental health. I’ve been very happy with her comprehensive approach and the treatment options she offers.
