Scott Marquardt is currently an intern pursuing a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin -Platteville. He is seeing his own clients as part of his degree program and will become a licensed professional counselor after graduation. Counseling will then become his second full-time career when he retires with more than 30 years in law enforcement at the end of 2023. His experiences have shown him first-hand the impact of mental health struggles and unresolved trauma on both those working in the helping professions and those living within the communities they serve. He works with all adults, but his passion is to provide a safe, confidential and understanding space for all public safety and health care workers, including all levels of organizational leadership, to improve their mental health, resiliency and longevity. He provides individual therapy to clients who are working through depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Scott has experience in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. In his free time, Scott enjoys reading and spending time with his wife and busy children.
