Stephanie Popp, LCPC, specializes in traumatic experiences, sexual issues, ADHD, and relationship concerns. Stephanie received her undergraduate degree in psychology from University of Illinois at Chicago and her masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Governors State University. She spent 10 years working with high risk youth, who had been human trafficked, experienced sexual trauma, or had offending behaviors. Stephanie enjoys working with the entire lifespan, especially adolescents and adults 50+. She will use a fully collaborative approach. She will work with you to determine your goals for treatment and ways to reach them. Stephanie is a cognitive behavioral therapist, who is fully trained in two important trauma specialties: trauma-focused CBT for 18 and under clients and EMDR for in person sessions. Stephanie has experience working with a wide variety of mental health concerns, but is particularly well versed in working with persons with intellectual disabilities, phase of life issues, LGBTQIA+ persons, couples, and persons in polyamorous or ethical non-monogamous relationships. Stephanie’s favorite people to work with are those seeking help with sexual concerns, such as lack of desire, porn addiction, unresolved sexual trauma, and anxiety surrounding sex. She will ensure this is a safe place to discuss concerns and work through them in whatever way that you want, as you are the one making decisions about your care.
