Get Started

Group Focus:

Young Queer Community Therapy is designed to be a safe space for LGBTQIA+ early adolescents (ages 11-14) and mid/late adolescents (ages 15-17) to gather and explore what it means to be part of the queer community while working on strategies to address anxiety, depression and other appropriate behavioral health issues. The group’s goals are to discuss sexual orientation (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, etc.), gender identities (transgender, non-binary, agender, etc.), foster socialization with other queer folks, provide each other support, and provide therapeutic tools for the related behavioral health struggles such as anxiety and depression. Sessions will include sharing resources, tools, and peer support while processing through the various topics discussed within the group.

As queer individuals, Cayla Lund, LPC, ATR and Erik Stonecipher, LPCC understand the importance of having a safe space to discuss, explore, and process with others within the community and look forward to having you join them. As licensed therapists, Cayla and Erik have chosen topics they will lead in group that include but are not limited to: Exploration of identity; Navigating School, Clubs, Organizations, Sports; Family and Societal Expectations; Being Queer and Neurodivergent; Self-esteem and self-image; therapeutic tools for associated behavioral health issues. Further group topics will be chosen by the group at the end of each session in Wisconsin.
