Overview
Do you ever have problems with….
- Roller-Coaster emotions and mood swings
- Having lots of crises in your life
- Constant problems in relationships
- Taking actions you later regret or
- Difficulty thinking clearly when under stress
If so, The DBT might really help you!
DBT is Composed of three “modules” that run for 8 weeks each. Participants must be willing and able to commit to completing AT LEAST three modules. NEW MODULES BEGIN EVERY TWO MONTHS. During these three modules you will learn skills of:
- Mindfulness
- Distress Tolerance
- Emotion Regulation and
- Interpersonal Effectiveness
Ongoing group in Oregon- new clients welcome if the group is not full.
Facilitator
Kathryn Heitzhausen, Psychologist
Kate completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Science from Oregon State University. She is licensed to practice in the state of Oregon. Kate began her clinical training at a community mental health center called Pacific Psychology and Comprehensive Health Clinic. She then worked in college counseling for four years at Pacific University, WSU Vancouver, University of the Pacific, and Portland State University. She most recently worked at Northwest ADHD Treatment Center. Kate specializes in working with young adults experiencing a variety of different concerns including ADHD, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, interpersonal relationships, and obsessive-compulsive symptoms. In addition, she has experience completing psychological assessments and evaluations.
